	Remediation Notice This is a Notice served by the Local Authority on the person who is required to clean up contaminated land. Enforcement Notice This is a Notice served by the Local Authority requiring certain works to be carried out or a person to take certain action to comply with planning/building control requirements. Stop Notice This is a Notice served by the Local Authority requiring a person to stop certain operations being carried out to land/buildings. Brownfield Land This is a vague term used to describe a site which has had some kind of past industrial use. Usually it means contamination, but not always. SEPA This is the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency, a government body which polices environmental matters.
